A $400 vet visit reveals that his limping dog was copying him out of sympathy.

When our pets look sick or hurt, it’s always very scary. Get them to the vet right away to make sure they’re okay.

There was one man who was worried about his dog, but it turned out that the dog was more worried about him. What looked like an injury was really just his pet’s way of showing support.

A London man named Russell Jones broke his ankle last year and had to use crutches and a cast. But then strange things began to happen: his lurcher dog, Billy, who is 8 years old, started limping too.

Russell came over because he thought Billy’s foot was hurt. The next day, he took Billy to the vet. Scan and x-rays were part of the appointment, which cost £300, which is more than $400 USD. Still, nothing seemed off.

She told ITV, “He walked in normally, and when he came out, they said they couldn’t find anything wrong with him.”

What was even stranger was that Billy started limping again when they got home. After that, Russell’s wife Michelle saw the dog running around the garden while he wasn’t there.

Once they put together the truth, they found out that Billy was only pretending to limp around Russell because he felt sorry for him while he was on crutches.

It’s an amazing act of caring for a dog, and it makes me think of how thoughtful and kind people can be. When Billy’s owner wasn’t able to walk normally, he chose to “limp” in support.

Russell recently posted a video of Billy limping along with him. In it, he explained what was going on and said that he “loves” his dog, even though the vet bills were pointless and cost him hundreds of dollars.

Now the video is all over the web. Some joked that the dog was a “con artist,” but most people thought it was a sweet thing to do.

“He cares a lot,” Michelle told ITV.

Even though he might cost a lot to treat, Billy is the kind of loving dog you want by your side.
