Reuniting with owner after years makes retired police dog emotional.

K9s are great dogs. They not only do a great job for police departments, but they also leave a big impression on their coworkers, creating a bond that can’t be broken.

As seen in one video, a police dog seems to be crying after seeing his old handler again after years apart.

The moving video was posted by the Xichuan Police Department on a Chinese social media site. Daily Star says that Wangwang, an 8-year-old German shepherd, worked for the police as a sniffer dog until he retired in June 2019.

Wangwang deserved a nice retirement and was well taken care of, but she had to be split up from her former handler and partner.

Since she had missed him a lot, she was thrilled when the officer decided to surprise her after being away for a long time. She ran right up to him.

The two old friends get back together in a sweet way. Wangwang looks like he is crying with happiness as the officer rubs and pets him.

The police officer and dog still loved each other, even though they hadn’t seen each other in a while and had gone their separate ways. The first video said, “Wangwang’s hair is turning white, but she is well fed, she is getting fat.”

It’s always hard to say goodbye to a friend.

Some working dogs, like K9s, get to spend their golden years with someone they love and trust when their owners retire. However, the Xichuan Police say their officers don’t have time to take care of retired dogs, so a family takes them in.

After what seems like a strong bond on the job, it’s too bad that these two had to break up. But based on Wangwang’s face, we know this wasn’t the last time the officer saw his old friend.

What a cute video. It shows how much a dog loves its partner and how strong the bond can be between K9 police dogs and their partners even after they part ways.
