I reported my MIL for stealing my credit card.
It can be very stressful to deal with your partner’s mom. Imagine choosing a gift that you think shows you care, but it doesn’t work out. That’s one woman’s story. When her MIL stole her credit card, she had no idea what was going to happen. The reason is very strange.
She sent us a message:
“Because my mother-in-law loves to read, I got her a nice book of poems for her birthday.” I could still afford it even though it was a limited edition and cost a lot.
I gave her the gift on her birthday, and even though she looked happy, I knew she was lying. She didn’t pay attention to me during the rest of dinner, and we had to leave early to avoid making a fuss.
When it was time to pay the rent the next day, I couldn’t find my card anywhere. When I looked at my transactions, I saw that someone had used my card to buy something big online. I told them right away.
After a few days, I got my money back, but my mother-in-law had already used my card. She needs to pay a big fine right now. If she doesn’t, she could go to jail or have to do community service.
She went crazy when she saw me. “I just wanted a normal gift from a normal daughter-in-law!” she yelled. But I didn’t get either!” She has been making my husband hate me ever since. “I don’t think our marriage will last through this.”
