Things that happened at a hotel that definitely deserve a refund
When people stay at a hotel, they usually don’t have too high of hopes. All they want is good food, a comfortable room, and a quiet place to be. However, the people in this article were shocked by what they found when they got to their accommodations.
People who work in hotels have seen and heard a lot of different things, even some pretty strange ones.
I had a job at a small hotel. A woman who looked very upset came up to the desk. “I can’t find my husband,” she said. His clothes are still there even though he’s not in the room. He walks around while sleeping, and I’m afraid he went into another room. We went to look at the CCTV. Our CCTV is hidden in the back of our linen closet. I opened the door and turned on the lights. As soon as we saw her naked husband sleeping on our duvet covers, we ran to get them. He woke up and didn’t know where he was. He was wrapped up and put back to bed. From sbouvette on Reddit
I got back to the hotel to find that a lot of my things had been moved. My luggage was opened and items taken out. Jewelry was lying on the floor, among other things. My passport was one of the things that was missing. I went to the front desk and told them what was going on. It turned out that the cleaner took my passport to the laundry room with the sheets. But I left my passport in a cabinet. I left two weeks early and got a refund for everything that was missing because she admitted to throwing it away. But she wouldn’t say why she had gone through my things or moved anything. mao64 on Reddit
You can’t get into the bathroom from the outside. Someone in the room had to open the door for you when you were done if you closed it all the way by accident. If you were by yourself, you had to wait for someone to come back or call the front desk from the bathroom to have someone come up. Not many people had cell phones back then, so you might not have had it with you all the time. From cousin_geri on Reddit
A guy tried to get into my mom and my room at 3 a.m., but his card didn’t work. The poor guy didn’t know that they had accidentally booked our room twice. He said sorry so much. But there’s nothing worse than waking up to the sound of a man frantically trying to get into your room while the handle is jiggling all over the place. Not a known author/Reddit
Our flight from this hotel in Turkey was that day. It was 11:30 a.m. when I checked out, but it was 12 p.m. I chose to take a quick shower. And just as I was leaving, the door opened with a key. A woman walked in and loudly said, “We’re moving in after you; they gave us the key.” “When are you going to leave?”
