My neighbor told me to stop running because her son was looking at me.
Our reader said that going for a run every night was like hitting the reset button—fresh air, clear head, and no drama. She also knew her neighborhood very well. One strange thing her neighbor said about her running clothes, though, threw her off completely. Now she’s not sure if she wants to put her shoes on at all.

This is her letter:

“I love running and do it a lot in my neighborhood.” As I walked home from work last night, I saw my neighbor. She gave me a wave and told me to come into her yard. I thought she was eager to talk.

She told him, “Don’t run around here.” “These tight clothes are drawing my son’s attention away from your big chest.” When I asked her how old he was, her son walked out of the house. When he saw me, he turned red and ran away quickly. He seemed to be about 16 years old.

She looked at me, shook her head, and said, “This is not the kind of attention you want.” I was so ashamed that I didn’t say anything. I said I was sorry and went home. I feel too bad about myself to run now. What should I do?”
